repeated calls, leaves no message, spam

Received call stating that their weren't any issues with my credit card and if I would like to get a lower rate to please press 1. I did and waited for someone to respond but the call eventually disconnected. When I tried to recontact, it stated that the line was busy. After reading several reviews, I have come to the conclusion that this is some kind of scam for if one does get a live response then they're fed a well rehearsed line and then hung up on. It doesn't matter whether they ask to be be placed on the "do not call " list or if they just want answers as to why they're receiving these calls, they get the same treatment.

I also got the same sms message: Credit card payment confirmation #... for $5087.55 paid posted to account ####### on 06// It has got to be something like fishing because none of my Credit Cards have such an high credit line

Calls all hours, no one there, doesn't leave message, can't return call...who is this?

Dumb-Ass keeps calling my cell number looking for someone I don't know and doesn't believe me when I tell them I'm not them.
